So I'm 33 yrs young and over the last year and a half I've had cellulitis 4 times!! Every time I've finished my antibiotics. It's always in my ankles /feet . This last time it was in both of my ankles. And it occurred strangely close to the time before that! I hadn't even been recovered from it for a whole month and I had it again! I'm extremely careful with using razors, and shaving creams, I'm at the point now where I'm turning to using a Nair or a Veet to see if that helps me with this issue. I just wanted to ask the group if anyone else has had this type of an issue with cellulitis before. Let me know ya guys ? Am I just cursed?? Seriously it's starting to feel that way..

I get it inside my ears, and it is truly serious, down to Psoriarsis, however since treating my low D, B12, Folate, Iron and also Thyroid Function, it does happen less now. It is a serious thing when it occurs. I hope you get better soon. I think always making sure things like nail scissors and razors are sterile, helps immensely. nhsinform.scot/illnesses-an... MaryF

I had it last month for the 1st time, in my right foot and left knee at the same time.

No sign of cut, bite etc, just appeared, 2 courses of antibiotics cleared it up - hopefully a 'one's off (touch wood). It wasn't good!!

I had it for the first time in August down my left leg. It was awful! So no, not recurring (hopefully doesn’t come back!), but I do have many more infections than I think is usual.

This year alone I’ve been on multiple antibiotics for water infections, thrush, chest infection and the cellulitis.

I’ve just found out I have a zinc deficiency which can cause more frequent infections so I’m now on supplements and hoping that will help.

I also developed geographic tongue in recent months which can also relate to low zinc levels so I’m hoping this will also improve going forward with fewer flares.

I hope you get answers and treatment to keep it at bay.

Before my diagnosis I was going through a stressful time and had cellulitis on my face and ears 2 times. I also have excdma so that is how it startecd. It was very painful but got better immediately with Keflex. But it could be more likely if your immune system is run down and I think stress too.

I’ve had it twice in the last 18 months, both times following an insect bite.
