Hi it's been a long 3 weeks with a migraine and sudden onset of very hi blood pressure! I wound up going to hospital wher I use to work! I was lucky in and out! Oddly enough, I had made an appointment with a Dr. Kessler! The Hospital sent me a Neurologist named Dr. DeOrchis, they're both in same group! I love this Doctor! He told me to take a certain vitamin for headaches. It's called Dolevent! It has Riboflavin, Magnesium, and I think B 12. I was put on IV steroids and sent home with a weeks worth of steroids! Had CAT Scan and was clear! He did say I needed MRI! I spoke to him on Saturday and was a bit perplexed that the IV steroids didn't break the headache! He put me on Depokote to break it, but so far still have migraine! I'm going tomorrow at 2:30pm for 3 tests~MRI, and 2 MRA's, which check the blood vessels in my brain. Hopefully whatever it is,is curable with meds! All I know it's debilitating! The best thing about this is finding this doctor who knows about APS and Sjogrens! It's odd I get flare with Sjogrens, get long lasting migraine, and hi BP! Hopefully the headache will go away once headache breaks! My BP meds , don't agree with me and I can't take the 2different meds they don't agree with me! This dove even knows about Sjogrens! I'm lucky cuz he's young and knows about many things! Good night and Godspeed!

Update on Migraine
I hope the magnesium makes a difference to you, I certainly find it does to my migraines, also low B12 can give you serious headaches, have they checked your levels of that? Low Folate and low B12 is indicative of Pernicious Anaemia. Also I am presuming they will check your renal function as that is indicated with high blood pressure: academic.oup.com/ndt/articl...
Please get well soon. MaryF
So glad you are now getting help and all the investigations are under way.
I really, really hope they break the migraine and you get better real soon xx
Oh my goodness- I’m so glad to hear all of this great news. ( other than you still have the migraine.)
It’s been wonderful to have you back with us, and I’m so pleased you are getting the help you need.
Thank you for sharing this information, Debb. I’m going to look at Dolevent. Thank you.
I’m in the Manhattan area quite a bit- May need an appointment with this doctor!
Keep on trucking Debbie. You are amazing. Love ❤️ you
Kelly if u decide to come to NY let me know if u want! I'd love to meet you maybe someday! Thank You and everyone for their ongoing support and brilliant responses!
I will let you know. Sounds very nice, thank you!
We stay confined usually to the Princeton area, but wander into the city once a year or so. We need to renew our Swiss passports, and the consulate general’s office in Manhattan. We will be there at one point this summer I think.
I will be in the area in mid May but only have two days- Princeton only. We usually just take the train in from Princeton Junction to Penn station then Uber It around the city. Parking is too cantankerous. It’s just over an hour . Not terrible. ( NYC- through New Brunswick- to Trenton - that line. All out of Penn station- not Grand Central station. )
Oh the Dolevent also has CoQ10 in it and with the others ingredients, it's suppose to help! I just got it today from Amazon!
Good luck! I pray the Dolevent helps!
