Bruising

Just a quick question this time LOL! I tend to drag on, anyway my question is from my last two surgeries I suffered from massive and almost black bruises. One was a knee replacement and the other was hernia repairs. The knee was bruised from my burdocks to my toes and the hernia was my entire stomach almost to my spine and down both legs. This bruising started before I left the OR. Someone told me that u only bruise like that if your blood was too thin. Is this true or isnit part of the Hughes. The hernia surgery also produced 2 very large hematomas.

Some certainly bruise a lot on anticoagulation, or Aspirin etc. However some can bruise very easily if perhaps they also have an underlying platelet disorder such as Thrombocytopenia,

They didn't take you of your Anti's with a bridging protocol prior to your surgeries ??
