This will be my forth year of daily Clexane. My skin is becoming 'resistant' in places, needing either a second jab or forceably giving extra pressure. Has anyone any advice please regarding skin care or treatment to relieve the problem?
Grateful for any comments

Thanks, I do try to vary, but well as you know avoiding the lumps and bumps cuts down options. May I ask if you use any skin softeners and is it possible to minimise the lumps, massage perhaps?
Tried researching the topic came up with zilch....so your comments are very welcome
Hi Julie t I inject twice a day ,try to avoid bruises and lumps and use the whole of your abdomen all the way round as far as you can reach or get someone to do it for you . I use Arnica cream as soon as a bruise or a lump appears and it works very well.you can get the cream at the chemist .all the best Elfie
Thanks very much Ellie. Perhaps that's where I have been going wrong staying within the 5-7cm range of tummy button (as per guideline). Will certainly try arnica cream.
Thanks Mary, I do try but as I said trying to remain within the 'ruler' cuts down options especially as bruises & bumps multiply. Will take your advice on board..
My hematologist recently gave me a tip on preventing the lumps and bruises. I inject enoxaparin twice a day usually in my stomach, sometimes thighs and wish I could reach my bum so I could get to the real fatty part! He told me that immediately after withdrawing the syringe from your injection site, place two fingers with light pressure over the site for 3-4 mins and it minimizes the lumps and bruises. I tried it and it really works! I also move the needle if it is painful by testing a spot. Just barely insert it tho.
I hope that helps you to prevent the bumpy checkerboard effect.
I've tried this and it seems to work. My ecchymotic areas are decreasing and are few and now further between occurring that I can see. Thanks for the tip👍😁
