Here is a picture of the rash I developed on the second day of taking the BP med Lisinopril. I stopped the meds for fear of an allergic reaction. What do you guys think?

Smart to stop for now, call your dr so he can prescribe something else. Should you develop any oral swelling or difficulty breathing seek medical attention fast like an emergency room!

It's been a week since I discontinued the meds. I also took some Benadryl which is what they give to treat mild angioedema. I would hate to have to choke to death. That would be the worst.

Witty, thanks for the concern. I really appreciate it. I don't have many people in my corner these days. God bless you. Hugs.

Hi, just looked up side effects & skin rash comes up but very rare. You say you stopped 5 days ago-has it got worse or better? Good that you took pictures. Any breathing difficulties seed immediate medical help...

If no improvement make appoitment with docter. Hope it goes away soon.

Yes I have a diagnosis. I've had two positive test for Beta Glycoprotein and confirmed clotting events. I have had my diagnosis for 4 years.

Thanks for confirming, sometimes we have people landing on the wrong forum, with regard to your current symptoms, I would seek medical advise sooner rather than later. MaryF

I am in the states APsnotfab. My doc is older and he takes a lot of vacations. I will have to wait two weeks to speak with him. The rash is all gone now that the meds have been stopped. My highest BP reading has been 130 over 90. I don't think I need the meds unless it starts to act up again. Thanks for all of the good advice.
