Hi has anyone had issues when changing medical insurance? I have been seeing Professor Hughes since 1999 but upon notifying them that I have an appointment this month was informed I am not covered as it is a chronic condition. But I have been claiming for 17 years on a similar policy.

Don't have insurance since my husband retired recently but when I did they would not cover me for routine appointments just if I had a new symptom. I never specifically told themI had a chronic condition; they worked it out for themselves. My sister in law was denied cover for an existing condition when she took out a policy. It's the way they operate unfortunately.
I have a company insurance but they cover all my conditions now but excluded chronic conditions for 1st year. Only generally cover me for flare ups or new events.
Yes I have it too . Aps but mine manifests in mini strokes, had it for11years ,
