I had a bone density scan a few months ago and will need to take yet another medication (Bisphosphonate). Are there any members out there taking this medication? and if so what side effects are you experiencing? and has it been helpful?

Hi there, I don't take this, as far as I know my bone density is fine, however I am sure there will be a few on here taking something from that group of drugs to improve their bone density, I expect they will pop on and give you feedback. All the best. MaryF

Hi there,

I have a relative on this, not because of her APS, but I guess that's not your main concern.

It's difficult to tell if she had any side effects initially as the other meds she was given made her very achy and stiff. As for the benefits? Her last two bone scans show that the bones have actually started to repair themselves!

Good luck- I hope you benefit from the meds.
