I'm Back - I have been every day in the ER fir a real bad case of cellulitis, heavy antibiotics from I V every day . Blood has been bad so testing every day till further notice
Then to top it all my computer died { they call me MR MURPHY for a reason !! ]
so it has been since last week i couldn't get to any one of you. i have 700 E mails !!!
So I am back and slowly answering all i have to .But i am still alive , Can't say well but still here !! Ha ha
Thought you were quiet?! Welcome back, hope the antibiotics get control of that horrible painful cellulitis.
We need you here, in this troubled time, supporting each other is going to get us all through this taxing period.

Oh dear really sympathise with for that my sister in law suffers with cellulitis. Every now and then she ends up in hospital with it on antibiotic iv. Do take care.just a knock to her legs and shes in hhospita.700 emails oh my gosh..good luck without.you must be very popular
I hadn't banged it - nothing no spider bite nor bee sting . It started acting up Feb 28 a Friday and went back to Doc's on March 2 and it had gone down some so they said just be watchful of it and then last Friday it started and by sat morning my knee was massive -and it felt like a pry bar was put under my knee cap and then down the leg from knee cap it went . Imagine that my left calf was the same size as my right thigh . Red and very sore - well all out pain and my Morph and Oxy wouldn't touch it .So i didn't continue taking any extra just grin and bare it .it is better now but still quite sore and i can stop going to ER and Doc's office if i take my temp evry day when they call. will be the first day not going to either place since 3 / 13/ 20 So I guess Friday the 13 TH will be my lucky day . Ha and the Bactrim is the antibiotic , the second one { first one did nothing infection to bad } . This Bactrim is pushing my INR up the scale so test Monday and then see what happens from there - I will be on it till the end of script so my last dose will be Tuesday morning 3 / 24 /20 .

You poor thing, that sounds ghastly! I wish you the speediest of recoveries, back to your old self. Computer's always pick their moments! MaryF
Good to see you back. Cellulites is horrible I’ve had it several times, one thing I would say is put loads of moisturiser on it, I didn’t and my legs aren’t fit to be seen in public, I don’t know why!

Thanks all i haven't been able to access any one or anything on computer to get any thoughts on this NOR could i access my Dartmouth hospital -Hematology Doc and that is an 80 mile drive. But we will see how i go with all my meds. I just saw on TV that Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate may be a drug that can have an effect on the 19 virus. I take 400 mg a day . so maybe this is going to be a good thing. see what you people hear about it .

WELL ALL today is Saturday 3 / 21 /20 - leg swelling down enough for me to use my compression socks . still discolored pain is OK . I think we have it just about where it needs to be . last time it came back BUT I still have the cephalexin at 500 mg if they want to do another window of antibiotics , BUT i have had a one hell of a lot of Anti's since Friday and Saturday the 13TH . So that's where I am now . just a smiling .. Thanks to all .

I am at about 80% -had 4 days in ER for iv powerful anti.--Then bactrim ALL DONE THAT 7 DAYS -- NOW going back to original script of Cephalexin 500 mg cap's-- 4 a day for remaining 10 days of that . Shannon {my supervising nurse has been with me for 8 years now }is working from home and i have a tele appt. with her in the mornings . Today it was her and my Dr. Linda . I have to take temp 2 times daily and log it - measure leg morning and then at night - and weight -they are also watching me for i have been on Hydroxy at 400 mg a day since the beginning of 2012 . Shannon also went thru my med list to make sure i had all my meds {especially the Hydroxy } i had just filled it .She will be in contact with my pharmacy to make sure i get all i need . the knee cap on left leg feels like it is swollen underneath and also just below it where the large muscle attaches is also swollen and i have to measure that daily . I feel good BUT i have been right out straight with doc appt's - meds-HHS filing for my 6 month benefit and my slimby . problem is that many medical offices for paperwork had shut down to public second week of March so i can't get the reports and doc. notes i need to document all these things. BUT i did get what I have submitted today. So now I can slow down and work at the rest of my issues.
