Does anyone take LDN(low dose naltrexone) and plaquenil?

It doesn't seem that they are incompatible together as the LDN supposedly increases endorphin levels and plaquenil, well,as I understand it the jury is still out there, but it does seem to work differently.I'd be interested in any feedback.

I take LDN.. as nothing else has worked for me.. I had such late diagnosis, made worse by being a sidelined Seronegative Hughes Syndrome patient, despite being on anticoagulation for three pregnancies and having ,multiple clots in my legs with the first one, plus the history of severe migraines starting in childhood, plus many relatives affected. Also I was Seronegative Lupus until very recently, despite terrible clinical symptoms going back decades. I also have Psoriatic Arthropathy, Sjogrens Disease and also a slow Thyroid. I have allergic reactions to most antibiotics and I had a life threatening reaction to Plaquenil. For expert advice you need to get in contact with Dr T Gilhooly who works as an NHS GP in Glasgow, but does a clinic privately on a Thursday for LDN. There are private practitioners throughout the country, but his expertise is second to none. I flew to Glasgow for my first appointment, and now do three monthly ones over the telephone. I am not on anything other than aspirin currently, so things are different for me, but it would be still worth inquiring about it. I am less fatigued than I was on this, and also my thryoid appears to be behaving more efficiently. Mary F x

Mary thanks for your comments. In fact I tried to contact Dr Gilhooly but prior to him reverting the LDN Research Trust had put me onto Dr Norman Poole who is also based in Glasgow. He prescribed a trial dose of LDN and the chemist he works with have agreed to extend the prescription for a further three months.I seem to have a supply without having had to see a Doctor. It would be interesting to find someone on both LDN and plaquenil just to ascertain whether combining the two is worthwhile or not.I will email Dr Poole for his thoughts.
