Just getting this to the top of the blogs again because we desperately need your views.

We need your help with our major new survey

Please help us by completing our major new survey on peoples experience of being diagnosed with a condition that needs you to take an anticoagulant, and how you feel about the anticoagulation service that you have received. Whether you take warfarin, apixaban, dabigatran or rivaroxaban we need to hear from you. The survey is completely anonymous. If you want to tell us anything more after you havee completed the survey please email us at: anticoagulation@ntlworld.com Thank you for your help.

This is obviously a special interest of yours.

Should you be declaring any special interest?

I have not completed the survey as I would like to know who/what is behind it?

I have already completed this survey so stop sending me a reminder. I agree with the last message. Who is behind this research and and what are the aims and objectives of asking people to complete it? Why are you doing the research when you seen it is for Europe when you are allowing other countries to get involved, e.g. America. I am not against it but as a researcher you need to be more explicit about the aims of the study and what will be the outcome or intended outcome.

You would be better doing a qualitative study (where people can voice their opinions, instead of this quantitative study which does not allow for people's personal opinions. You could have left a section at the end for this. We are all individuals and Warfarin affects us differently.

I have not complete the survey as I only take aspirin and the other comments seemed to suggest I shouldn't take part.

To answer the questions above

AntiCoagulation Europe (ACE) is a registered charity (registered in the UK) dedicated to the prevention of thrombosis and to helping and supporting people to get the best possible anticoagulation services. This work is for the UK only. The survey has been developed by ACE and will be used to inform the work they are doing with commissioners about Experience led Commissioning. This is using patients experiences to enhance/improve/change/commission services so that they incorporate what patients want from a service.

Apologies for posting reminder but it is so vital that we get a wide range of views from people.

I work for ACE and am an administrator/moderator on the ACE Healthunlocked forum.

I hope this helps.
