Hi, can anyone give me advice on magnesium supplements. I have been taking Magnesium Citrate for a while for Paroxymal atrial fibrillation. Is it better to take Magnesium glycinate instead. Any advice welcome. Many thanks.

MAGNESIUM
I think both types of magnesium are fine. Magnesium Citrate made my stomach sore and I now take Magnesium Glycinate alongside Taurine mid breakfast, with no problems.
There's a cardiologist Sanjay Gupta at York hospital in the UK who has found that magnesium and taurine together has helped his patients with heart arrhythmias. You can buy the two products combined in one pill but it's really expensive .

Magnesium comes in several guises… some are poorly absorbed…offering an uptake of 4% while the body “dumps” the other 96% what most people seem to miss is serum levels (blood) of magnesium is 1% .. 39% is found in tissue such as muscle and 60% is in bone… so I guess the body first thinks it only needs 1% because that is normal level in Blood…
Magnesium Glycinate is well absorbed but even then it’s only about 40% uptake…
Magnesium Taurate is found mainly in heart tissue… so it stands to reason.. that is the choice… picolated versions are nano sized and pass into tissue much more readily.. I think Dr Carolyn Dean sells this type and explains why it is a more efficient way to ingest.. on her many podcasts…but here’s the thing… the body strangely enough can absorb magnesium much better when it’s applied to skin… hence the popular pastimes of bathing in spas rich from water running through magnesium rich sources… so why not having a weekly slosh in a bath of magnesium flakes.?
