Hi, any women with any kind of heart arrhythmia find that their ectopic burden increases significantly during their luteal phase of menstruation (i.e. about a week before their period)?
I've noticed that my ectopics (I have ventricular bigeminy) become non-stop day and night about a week before my period but after speaking to a few cardiologists none of them are able to give me any real advice about it saying that there isn't much solid evidence around it. So hoping to hear from other women if they experience something similar.

I absolutely agree. I don’t have it for quite that long, but certainly a couple of days before, my ectopics are terrible. I have HCM and an ICD so suffer with Ventricular Extopics a huge amount. The cardiologist has always nodded and agreed but never have an opinion on it. I am now on HRT which does seem to help. Are you taking a beta blocker to help?
Yes I do!! It’s a nightmare and makes me absolutely miserable. I have seen many EP’s and cardiologists that talk about a link between pvcs and women’s menstrual cycles on Instagram. Check out the heart.beat.doctor x
Glad I'm not the only one! As if we needed more to deal with when we're on our cycles 😭 so far I've still not figured out a way to get around this issue, some days are good some days are terrible so you just wait for the next day and hope it gets better..
