Do you have an S-ICD with the Latitude box? If so how often does the white heart button flash for you?

Hi All,

If you have an S-ICD with the bedside Latitude box, how often does the white heart button flash so that you have to press it do a manual check-in or interrogation?

I thought it mostly did it automatically at night and it should only flash very occasionally (like once a month, or less) and when you are scheduled by the hospital for a remote appointment, which for me would be every three months.

However mine flashes every monday and I'm not sure if that is normal and I also understand that pressing it too often runs down the battery in your S-ICD. I've tried Latitude support, but received two different answers from two different people, one saying it was normal and one saying it wasn't, so now I don't know what to do.

Thanks a lot!

Hello, the interrogations are done automatically, the daily and the 3 months as well. If a light is flashing it could be that you had a power outage or pressed on the wrong button.

That is what I think the hospital told me, so I'm confused that one person at Latitude support has said it is normal to flash weekly (but another before that said it wasn't). Definitely not had a power cut or pressed any buttons and the fact that it is always monday when it flashes indicates to me that it is deliberate in some way.

I have emailed the hospital in the hope they can clarify it all for me.
