Hi, recovering after fall on holiday in Tenerife, had to have full hip replacement. Back home now but my question is after having 14 blood thinner injections into my stomach (alternate sides each night) I can feel a lump under my skin on my left side, is this normal, I can’t remember having this after my ablation op in January. Thanks , hope everyone is fine and looking forward to Xmas. I could have done without this to be honest. The holiday was supposed to be a celebration for the whole family after my ablation, my hubby Colin’s stent and his operation to remove a kidney and cancer. Still laid up unfortunately after also picking up a bug.

Lump in stomach after blood thinner injections?
Wow what an awful time, sounds like my holiday disaster in lanzarote during the summer this year. I recall I had anti clotting injections years ago when I suffered a spinal Injury and had a lengthy stay in hospital, and can't remember getting any lumps etc , maybe get it checked out just for peace of mind. Must be feeling pretty grotty with the bug on top, Hope you recover quick and have a better xmas,
Ian.
I had lumps after injections and was horribly bruised. I looked as though I'd been beat! Everyone told me it was a normal reaction and not to worry. It eventually cleared up and knots disappeared.
I'm sorry for all you've gone through, hoping a better tomorrow and onward! Merry Christmas!
Oh thanks so much, it’s a relief to hear that it could be a normal reaction, feel I have enough on my plate at moments , merry Christmas to you too xx
You are very welcome, I do hope everything improves and you have a Merry Christmas!
*I started to write you may want to check with your doctor, but I see you said you were going so that it good. Perhaps your doctor can set your mind at ease.*
So sorry to hear of everything that has/is happening with you. I would be inclined to get that lump checked out. What about phoning the NHS helpline 111 if you cant get to see your GP? Wishing you well and for a better tomorrow. Take care.
Thanks so much, due at hospital on Tuesday for physio so think I will ask the nurses to check it for me. Have a lovely Christmas xx
