Hi there, I regularly check my pulse, often it sits between 49 resting to 60 during the day...I am on beta blockers so the doc reduced my dose gradually but I ended up with lots of ectopics, so had to go back up to my 5mg bisoprolol. It appears that I just have to accept my low pulse rate as the trade off is not worth it for me...

Any advice happily accepted..

Hello,

Thank you for your response. It may be helpful to start keeping a diary of each time an ectopic beat happens as you will then be able to show this to your doctor. If your heart rate often sits between 49-60, this is probably normal for you as each individual has their own normal version of their heart rate.

However, if you have any concerns about your heart rate being low, please do reach out to your doctor as they have full access to your medical records and will be able to advise you personally.

As I found out about the private EP I saw (after the lowest dose of the stuff the surgery came up with proved too much for me to take daily) through you, I shall always be incredibly grateful but each time I attempted to “like” your comment it went to “unlike”!
