I'm 29 and I have a iron deficiency which causes me to have low iron and my heart to beat faster and I've had the deficiency since high school and I noticed my heart beating faster but I thought it was normal cause my doctor then did not tell me that my low iron would cause a rapid heartbeat my recent resting heartrate was 135bpm

Low iron and rapid heartrate
Have you been back to doctor and have you had iron levels checked.
Definitely go have an EKG to see why you have this Tachycardia! You need to know if it is an arrhythmia or sinus, what is truly causing it and your iron deficiency! Are you anemic as well? I was for almost 4 years when my heart failure took over, I finally had to have 2 iron infusions and my hemoglobin went back up to normal, as did my RBC (red blood cell count) and iron levels. I still had tachycardia but my ICD-D needed a major tuneup since I was passing out...so I had an EP study, right-heart cath, ablation attempt after passing out at the wheel, and an anti-tachycardia pacing control on my implanted device.
Good luck to you Brodyfrye29, you are only my daughter's age so I hope your heart slows down! I'm very interested because this happened to her-not the iron part-and i took her to an EP to get a Holter Monitor, Stress Test, EKGs, and Echo Cardiogram after her HR was 135, she passed out cold a few times (mother's daughter!) and just wants to be a Fitness Instructor! She is fine Cardiac Wise...For her, she has occasional PVCs but a 65-70 EF and sometimes that occasional palpitation or flutter. She can still get "followed" by the EP if needed for the PVCs, and her bloodwork is fine. Her stress test is outstanding and now she is a certified FitnessPro! So get it tested and become what you want to be...you are probably fine, and for the iron...maybe you just need a bag of iron infused into your vein! It worked for me! Iron pills made me constipated so I could not take them at all!
