My heartrate has been in the 130's since noon. Help
Update: I went to the er cause my heart rate was 120 BPM they hooked me up to a EKG it showed not only was my heart rate high but also skipping beats they drew blood to run tests and while waiting for the tests to come back my heart had jumped to 160 BPM. Found out that I have iron deficiency anemia which will make my heart beat faster to compensate

Has this ever happened before? If not take a trip to A&E.I had a bout of that and discovered that my blood pressure had soared. Not saying that is what happened to you but it's worth checking out.
It won't hurt to get checked out...ar A&E if poss or your GP in morning.
I had this rate a couple of years ago for about 3 weeks then went into fast AF and was cardioverted in A&E. I had sought advice before then & was given the usual Bisoprolol.
Most of the time a fast heat rate is not indicative of serious problem (especially when it is fairly regular) but you should go and get checked if it continues.
I used to get these from anxiety especially when my blood pressure was high, but of course everyone is different. Often these symptoms come from panic attacks which can be scary but I finally convinced myself that the worst that could happen might be that I would faint from hyper ventilating (which I never did). The trick for me was to say to myself “ come and get me” and silently smile and invite my heart to go as fast as it wanted. For some reason that often did the trick. But I am a bit wierd
The cardio told me that even though is is scary, assuming that the heart is structurally sound, it is an amazing organ and can cope with fast heart rate for long periods of time, even days.
In less frequent cases fast heart rate can be triggered by something a bit more serious so get it checked - if it continues you might need to wear a monitor to allow the doc to see what is going on.
heh i was just like u, anxiety attack > rising blood pressure > checked pressure and spooked > fast heart rate lol.. its a vicious never ending circle it sucked that all went away when i started hitting the gym again
Hope by now it has all settled. Another possible cause that just occurred to me is dehydration. If I did not drink enough water it would often lead to fast heart rate. (Or of course too much caffeine or alcohol can also do it.)
I to was diagnosed with low iron and was priscribed ferrous sulfate 325mg tablets but to me it’s more than just low iron my heart rate jumps to 178 a couple days again and I was just sitting down yesterday it was at its lowest at just 43 l don’t think that’s normal can l ask you do you get any other symptoms besides the fast heart rate because I have multiple symptoms dizziness shortness of breath skipped beats and flutter feeling in the chest especially when I do the simplest of things my heart starts beating fast I think you should get a second opinion l’ve yet to see a cardiologist
