Has anyone else experienced a low heart rate after ablation? It’s been 4 months for me since the op and it’s been really difficult. Right now my heart rate is dropping into the 50’s which is really weird for me and makes me feel a little sick sometimes.

SVT and low heart rate
Hi!
I had an unsuccessful ablation 7 months ago for SVT and I too have a heart rate now that barely gets out of the 50’s. Even as low as 38 when I’m sleeping. I’ve aleays had a slowish heart rate, although I don’t recall it being as low as it is now.
My cardiologist isn’t concerned about mine, but I’m not really symptomatic with it.
Have you spoken to your cardiologist about it?
Also bear in mind that it can take the heart 6 months to heal, it’s gone through a lot!
I’m sorry to hear that it was unsuccessful! My cardiologist has told me mine was really successful. I was referred to the local cardiac rehab because I wasn’t really coping with the recovery. I find that it’s getting easier now that I’ve been working on my health. My blood pressure was high but I’ve seemed to work that out and I’ve halfed my heart rate in just a month. The cardiac nurse told me the heart rate wasn’t anything to be worried about and I don’t get any symptoms from it it’s just my mind telling me I should panic! Hopefully everything goes back to normal soon and the SVT stays away for good
I’m the same. Been terrible with the recovery and suffering from anxiety. So the thought of doing it again is just horrendous.
It could be an anxiety thing that you have maybe?? If so don’t suffer in silence like I did for months.
Honestly, if your not feeling right whether it be heart or anxiety related then please see your GP. I started on a low dose anti-anxiety drug (very apprehensively!!) and a lot of the physical symptoms I was experiencing have stopped
