About Healthy Evidence
Every month there are dozens of news reports about medical breakthroughs, health scares and wonder drugs. The Healthy Evidence community is a place for people to discuss health stories and share insights and useful sources to sort the beneficial from the bogus, the likely from the doubtful.
Sense About Science (senseaboutscience.org) and the NHS Choices Behind the Headlines service (nhs.uk/news) have joined forces to create the Healthy Evidence community to help people better understand the science behind health claims and connect people with expertise.
Healthy Evidence is part of the Ask for Evidence campaign which supports and encourages people to request for themselves the evidence behind news stories, marketing claims and policies. It helps people understand the importance of evidence and increases the quality and accountability of evidence in public life.
