It's safe.

No, 25ug is 0.025mg - or a small dose.

1000mg = 1g and the dose that your neurologist suggests is a very long way away from 1g. However, 25ug is 1000IU if that's what you had in mind?

E.g., 5000 IU of Vitamin D is equivalent to 125 mcg (or 0.125 mg).

What is the dosage that your neurologist is recommending? Or did he/she just say, "Take 5 of these"?

Because if your preparation is 25ug then

5x = 125ug or 0.125mg/125mcg

as above which is 5000IU which is quite a common loading dose and there's no reason to think it wouldn't be safe unless there's something we don't know.

5 tablets of 25ug is 125ug, sometimes written as 125mcg - I assume you meant to write mcg and not mg.

The NHS website suggests 100mcg as an upper adult dosage, so your number of 125 is slightly higher but since your doctors has recommended it, it should be safe to follow their advice.
