Hi Praveen55

Haven't seen you around for a while, I hope you're well. I hope you have a lovely weekend. I enjoy all the foods listed in moderation, and I especially love cheeses.

Zest :-)

Hi Praveen55

I posted this same article in the LCHF forum a few weeks ago.

Not much of it was new to me but I was intrigued by the suggestion that the 5 a day mantra is actually damaging some peoples health because many people predominately eat very high sugar fruit and veg to make up their 5 portions. A lot of them would be better off overall with less than 5 fruit/veg if their go to plant based stuff is very sugary.

I also find it interesting that the 5 a day myth has such a capitalistic origin. It hadn't occurred to me before, but on further observation I have noticed that the author is quite right in saying that often the processed crap in the supermarket is labelled up with little reward stickers with the number of portions you can tick off. I've found this pretty depressing to observe.

Thanks for posting.
