Got those Kozmic Blues Again...Blue Berries that is

Lazaruslong profile image

I was given a couple of pounds yes pounds of Blue berries a few days ago.

I'm using them up before they turn.

One way was in a smoothie ( pictured). About a cup of berries to about two cups of unsweetened Almond milk and into the blender. Took about as long to make as did typing this post. And less time to down it..

Have some homemade mixed berries, blueberries, and strawberries with plain Greek yogurt popsicles in the freezer, I make fruit Lassi, drink some and some made into popsicles 👍😊

I had the raspberry lassi today, i was lovely and everyone loved it, taking I bit of time to strain because of all the seeds is well worth it as it makes it nice and smooth. We made lots of mango lassi when the mangos were in abundance and they loved them...not many fresh mangos about now that have flavour, but there's also the frozen packet one's 👍😊

what's a lassie? the only one I know is a dog

Cheers to chugging it down while taking no prisoners.

Yes, Matcha (Japanese powdered green tea) is a wonderful addition to most fruit smoothies. You’ve probably checked it out, there is a buncha health benefits associated with it. I drink it mixed with moringa(yet another superfood that tastes slightly like pear but mostly like dusty dried grass) and a honey stick. And don’t forget- blueberries are easy to freeze, easy to pull out a handful & throw still frozen into into muffins, pancakes, and especially into oatmeal.

Thanks for the tips.

I’ll try that thank you

Hi Lazaruslong,

Your smoothie sounds and looks wonderful. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :-)

We have had some smoothies here and there. We've used different types of fresh fruit and flavors of Greek yogurt so there would be extra calcium and protein added. We also add some milk to make it thicker now and then. Really good! :-)

I like to mix different fruits as well. I just happened to have an abundance of blueberries this time
