Berries are small, soft, round fruit of various colors — mainly blue, red or purple.

They are sweet or sour in taste and often used in preservatives, jams and desserts.

Berries tend to have a good nutritional profile. They are typically high in fiber, vitamin C and antioxidant polyphenols.

As a result, incorporating berries into your diet may help prevent and reduce symptoms of many chronic diseases.

Here are 8 of the healthiest berries you can eat.

Hi suramo

I also love eating berries, and usually have some daily - especially blueberries - and like Hidden - I also really like raspberries (but don't have them that often). I try to have strawberries regularly too.

Looking at the list in the article you posted, I have never tried Acai berries - so I wonder what they are like - have you tried them? What do they taste like?

Acaí berries can help lower your blood sugars, so if you’re on insulin (type 1 or 2), you have to talk to your doctor before eating them, Zest . I looked up acai berries years ago.

Hi Activity2004

Thanks for this information - it's very helpful. I have a feeling they are quite a pricey berry, so I am probably not going to be trying them - and sticking to my old favourites. :-)
