Hello everyone, I am new here. I am going to address the significant weight increase this past year!! I know I am not the only one. My daughter and I live together and have both piled on the pounds as we have confort ate our way through lockdown. This has had lots of positives in that we have a shared interest, she has learnt to cook and we have enjoyed the experimentation of it. We have given up read meat and poultry, another bonus, but now need to think about coming back out into the world. I would like to fit back into my jeans as I have worn comfy baggy trackies or leggins for months now. Aggh. I have signed up for the NHS 12 week plan starting tomorrow. Anyone want to buddy up with me? I could use the support.
Thank you for reading.
Rosie.

Hey good for you Rosie and welcome to the community we’ll cheer you on. I can’t join you as I don’t need to lose weight but you’ll still get lots of encouragement.
Now you and your daughter can do workouts together to help you lose weight and tone yourselves so it’s win win and you’d be bonding some more.
Lots of people are in the same predicament as you and now you’re taking steps to get healthier so I’d focus on that and do it one day and one meal at a time.
There are loads of supportive people over there with plenty of experience of weight loss
Just to help encourage you Rosie, one of our members Zest has had great success with the NHS 12 week diet plan. As Zest has combined healthy eating with exercise and the pounds just slipped away, so you can do it and we are here for you and each other.
I am right there with you... ugh. Packing it on during 2020 was easy... now 2021 is the time to deal with the aftermath. Everyone here has helped me greatly by giving excellent idea for salads. (Mine were getting boring.) Granni B
