Hello Helenbrc what a positive start to the day and you're so right that you can change your eating habits and I'd do it one meal and one day at a time trying to make the healthiest choices and keep portion sizes down coupled with adequate exercise and you're well on your way to achieving your goals and we will cheer you on. I was so fat a few years ago that I was referred to an NHS obesity clinic. I did lose weight and qualified for a sleeve gastrectomy and have lost a massive amount of weight with more to go. One of the best things was seeing a top notch dietician who told me it was up to me to forget diet and low fat products and focus on eating plenty of protein, dump 'bad carbs' (biscuits etc) and use a small plate. I learned that this was not a process that started and ended but by making small changes that I could live with I'd get results. I still eat fast food - about once every six months and only a very little portion, I eat plenty of eggs, chicken and fish and some red meat once a week. I find the protein really fills me up for quite a long while.
Hi lovely photo I was one ten stone and my cholesterol was 5 I had been eating lot cheese, I started watching my saturated fat intake on the food labels keeping it to about ten in order to get my cholesterol down the average adult needs about 18 grams but to shed it I read have about 8 well I cut the cheese right down too chocolate and in a few months I was my regular weight of 9 half I watched my saturated fat intake after that still I'm now 8 half stone I do regular walking and eat healthy I don't eat meat much or fat other than that I eat what I want just watch my saturated fat, I hope you can get out to walk your dog it's great fun I see the dog walkers in park be great when get back to normal and can talk properly to them I might get a cocker spaniel one day take care 😊xx. My cholesterol is 4.3 now and yes as the others have said bit smaller plate we often eat more than we need or want
