My daughter went back to her mum's yesterday and I won't see her over the Christmas period. I came home and had 3 beers and a MacDonalds. I'm going to get stressed, I need to deal with it, in the New Year, in ways other than eating rubbish and drinking. There were a lot of positives as well yesterday too!
Evening Zest, thanks for your encouragement. hope you had a good day!

Christmas is a difficult time for so many people for all sorts of reasons. All the hype the expectations the strain financially emotionally. This magical notion of happy families for many people it’s all nonsense. It’s no wonder you fancied a beer Sean I think you will have plenty of time to continue with healthy eating when emotionally you are in a stronger place. If you feel well enough some sort of exercise might help your mood and well being. I do feel for and send you my best wishes.
Evening Jeff. To be fair, considering how I felt after dropping my daughter off yesterday, I am happy with a couple of beers and a MacDonalds was all I had! Lol. having started walking again and stretching in the mornings to get rid of the night tightness, I am beginning to remember how good I felt after exercising, so it is all good for building myself up ready for the real push in Jan. Hope you are enjoying that Bike and getting some good mileage out of it! Best of the season to you and yours! Sean
Thanks Sean and you have a good break. Draw a line, forget about it, rest, get strong and when you’re ready start again in January good luck and looking forward to hearing about your progress.Best wishes
Jeff
Hi there it is stressful for all of us so I'm sorry that you feel this way however understanding it is. Christmas is when we all want to be with loved ones.
Its your attitude to food that needs to change as we are literally what we eat. So we can enjoy treats as part of a balanced diet but we all know how quickly things go wrong when we don t have a balanced diet...
Evening Jerry. Wise words and I am trying to make sure that I am eating more healthy stuff than not before really pushing it in January. Small steps. Thanks again.
It's a difficult time with the virus and all, and the strange feeling that this tiny thing, which technically isn't even a life form as it can only reproduce through parasitic action, can put us into such fear and alter our lives so profoundly, keeping us apart from our loved ones.
There is a saying, What cannot be cured must be endured, and we must endure this problem and hope it leaves soon. I am hoping for a vaccine soon, but I cannot have the Pfizer one, as I have had a bad reaction in the past, so I must wait for the Oxford one.
Still, one day it will pass, like all other viruses, it will weaken as time passes.
Hope you have the best Christmas you can, there's always the phone, or a video call with your daughter.
Evening Midori, and thank you for your wise and kind words. This virus will go eventually, but my daughter will always be away from me every second Christmas, as she spends every other Christmas there, but you would have thought that I would be used to it by now. I definitely intend to give her a call and I have her back again on Monday, so hopefully this will make the New year all the better! Thanks again!
