Hope I am not waking you up Sean! You must have had a very difficult 9 months during this Pandemic! My daughter teaches Math + English in Middleborough College! Online classes and a family to look after was tough on her! She loves the Gym, running and biking! To juggle all that with Gym closed during lockdowns is to find new ways to keep fit!I am 63 years old and my children ordered me an exercise bike I can fold away! Got coronary artery and vascular disease, heart attack Feb 2019!

But I still work 4 shifts in a restaurant kitchen as kitchen porter! My legs feel tired + heavy after work, as on my feet for 7-8 hours!

Looking forward to my exercise bike today being delivered 😄🚴

I have a sweet tooth but I don't eat sweets or treats very often now! Now and then I have a glass of wine! But taking meds and alcohol don't mix well!

As we say, need my head screwed on in my shifts, as it's very demanding!

But good on you what you are doing to get yourself fitter! Brilliant effort so far Sean!

Well done 👏

Apropo my 3 sons love working out and running, one is into Yoga, but I prefer working out gently because of my health issues! But convinced I shall get fitter and more at ease walking when I have my exercise bike!

Enjoy the rest of your week Sean! God bless 🙏🥰🏃and keep running 🏃

Hi Snowdrops. Seems you're keeping yourself healthy and doing it the way that best suits you and your body. It must be inspiring having children that love exercising. I hope that the exercise bike helps your legs to feel less heavy and for you to feel great. Thank you for your kind words and motivating words! Good luck!

Eh up Sean lovely to hear from you that’s the thing about teaching you just live from holiday to holiday. How is the exercise and healthy eating going ? I realise it is hard especially at the moment with everything that’s going on.

Hey buddy, it is going straight - maintaining just. Up and down on 2/3 lbs. Beginning to qond down now, so will be getting back on it Monday after I've slept through the entire weekend! Lol. Hope you're all good ans that the cycling is going well.

Ah good man it sounds as if you have it sussed mate. Cycling is going well thanks I'm down to 11.10 from 15.13. If I can get to 11.6 I'll stop there that'll be three and a half stone. If anything I need to build up muscle now. I'll have a few drinks at Christmas but won't go silly it was hard work getting it off so I don't want to have to do it all again. The next challenge will be maintaining the weight and not let it creep back on.

Treated myseklf to a really good new to me lightweight aluminium Specialised bike with disc brakes and carbon forks I picked up on FB. Got into 32 waist jeans today I've never been able to that before.

Have a good rest Sean Christmas term is always a killer at the best of times as it goes on so bloody long. As I say great to hear from you.

Best wishes for Christmas to you and yours

Kind regards

Jeff

Wow. That is a lot of weight you've shifted. You've got to be thoroughly chuffed with that...I know I would be. My ideal weight is 10.60 - so that's what I am aiming for long term (although I would settle for 11.00). I am going to be having 4 beers on Christmas Eve, and four on Christmas Day...and that's it. That's my planned drinking - although I may have one or two on Boxing Day as we are kid free that day.

Muscle is also something I need to start to rebuild, so I have indulged in a set of weights. Hopefully this (along with press-ups and running) will help kickstart me back.

You'll have to tell me how your bike feels - I always loved that first ride on a new bike!

Merry Christmas to you and your family and I hope you have a great time!

And a very grateful thank you for helping me to keep going over a really crap few months.

Sean.

I’m down to 11.8 now Sean so just 2lb to go. I’m having a couple of drinks tonight red wine with my meal venison steaks for the winter solstice and a whiskey and a bit of dark chocolate with my coffee. I’m staying away from the beer though it’s very tempting there’s been a can of Stella in the fridge for about five months ! Weights are supposed to be really good for burning fat when you develop muscle you’re doing great Sean you’ll be fine!Have a good Christmas to you and yours

Best wishes

Jeff

Bikes great it’s a hybrid with slightly broader tyres than a road bike it has an aluminium frame and carbon forks so it’s quite light. It’s quite a high spec so great for cycling hills. I spotted it on Face Book I only paid £150 for it though which was a snip as they were originally priced at £1000 when they first came out in 2016.
