I have cut back on the amount of food I eat, and added more veggies, rice, Quinoa etc and also cut back on my caffeine intake and having a more low fodmap diet to help with the IBS,

I would sayI had between five to six cups of tea a day with soya milk, and quite quickly after cutting back to two cups a day plus herbal teas and filtered water I am definately sleeping alot better, Its made quite a difference and I will not go back

Best wishes

Debs

I started eating healthier in 2017 because of a condition called tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and read that diet can make the ringing worse so started eating healthier.

But i was still very overweight and was addicted to chocolate , most people never took me serious when i told them this but i was badly addicted to milk chocolate to the point it was the first thing i thought of when i woke up and if i had none in the house i panicked, i was eating around 300-400g a day of milk chocolate some days more.

I did not like the way i felt being overweight , i felt like and ugly fat monster and hated going out, it was interfering with my work life and knew i had to do something about it once and for all.

I finally had enough of the way i felt and stopped last year and went cold turkey , it was the hardest thing i had ever done as chocolate literally controlled my life but i did it, i ignored withdrawal symptoms and after a few months of being chocolate free i found it easier to say no to it.

It is easier to say no now as i remember how i felt when i was overweight , all i have to do is remember how i felt a monster and thats enough to make me not want it ever again.

I Still enjoy chocolate but i make it myself from raw cacao.

Last year i started getting IBS symptoms when i drank cows milk or anything with a lot of lactose , so i avoid most dairy the only dairy i still have is hard cheese and kefir yogurt.

Hi wiserlady

I joined the Healthy eating forum back in 2013, and have been enjoying participating here throughout that time. I have lost weight, and I feel much healthier, and I also enjoy sharing recipes and ideas for meals with participants here. It's a lovely community.
