Hi i have been given advice from my doctor at Lincoln hospital that I need to lose weight tone up and get back into shape but im finding it hard i never know what to make im sure i have to much food on my plate even though I only have a small plate now i also tend to eat late at night sometimes its fruit but other times it's biscuits or ice cream stuff like that i think its because im under a lot of stress with my 22 year old daughter who is driving me and my partner up the wall if anyone can help in any way i would be more than grateful thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum Tigerlily 💐 my advice would be to join a weigh-in group in the weightloss section (there's one for every day of the week) and also look at some of the fitness groups. The support and motivation you'll find here is amazing, and there's always someone to listen if you just need to vent.

Thankyou how do i find the fitness groups ive tried to find some with no joy and can't figure out where the weigh in is either i know it should silly but haven't found my way around yet

There's a general fitness group in the NHS weight loss section called

And there's the couch to 5k section for runners

Hi, maybe worth using an app to track how much you eat. It's supprising how many calories are hidden in some foods! I use My Fitness Pal. It may help guide you in portion control which also was a surprise to me. Good luck!
Hi Tigerlily21 firstly welcome to the forum and I think that you and your partner need to establish boundaries with your daughter and the way to this to talk to your daughter in a way thats gives her the opportunity to say why her behaviour is driving you up the wall.
So to me this is about boundaries and respect and if you can all communicate then you can calmly see each others issues and work together rather than against each other as you have a them and us situation which needs resolving.
