My husband suffered a heart attack 5 years ago and I am looking to make sure that he doesn't have another. His diet is my main concern, especially finding filling foods for his lunch box, he is a construction worker. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Hidden welcome to the forum and thank you for introducing yourself as you're in great company for all thin gs healthy eating and a healthy life style.
I would use wholemeal bread for fibre and for a filling use low fat low salt fillings that he likes and add fruit and tomatoes/pickled onions etc to make more nutritious. Really there are so many fillings worth trying like tahini humus tinned fish lean meat especially with some salad.
Here's a link to the BBC's lunch box ideas I'd look at those for lunch box pasta salads etc and there are lots of delicious looking lunches, please see:

I suggest you do a little of your own research on heart disease. It's a very complex issue, not least because "heart disease" isn't a single disease. It might not even be a disease as such, but rather a syndrome associated with another underlying disease.
You've no doubt heard that it's all about having high cholesterol, and that high cholesterol is caused by saturated fat. This is, not to put to fine a point on it, completely wrong. It's patently obvious that it's wrong because half the country is on a low-fat diet and a daily statin, and they're still having heart attacks at about the same rate they always were.
The NHS knows it's wrong, but is still committed to handing out bad advice (you may need to read the conclusion twice to make sure your eyes aren't deceiving you):

concerning strokes, but it's also pertinent to your situation.
When you've digested all that, you might have a better idea what sort of diet might be best for your husband. I'll just say outright that, IMO, it should include lots and lots of vegetables, an adequate amount of eggs/meat/dairy, as few flour/starch-based products as possible, and absolutely no low-fat products. But I'll let you approach that conclusion in your own time and in your own way.
Construction work is quite hard to plan for! Do they have an onsite canteen space, with microwave?
Most of the guys I've dealt with in construction were very much into junk food - regular McDonalds, pasties, litres of fizzy stuff every day. Unfortunately these are all the things we'd say to cut out, but I know it can be hard if he's in a peer-pressure industry.
He really needs to limit processed foods, so I think you need to focus on making some hearty soups and stews, stir fries, maybe some grilled chicken & veg. If he doesn't have a canteen, the temptation will be there to buy junk food instead, but you can get thermal flasks to allow you to cook stuff at home for him to eat at lunchtime.
