I started my week out fasting (which is my most favorite way to feel in the mornings), but decided half way through this week to incorporate more fiber into my days, and pay attention to how I feel. I'm a bit concerned about the way I feel when I do eat, and that is why I am experimenting with foods.
So the last couple of days I have eaten fresh fruits and nuts. Yesterday for example, I ate a small red apple, and about 1/4 cup of raw mixed nuts. Today I ate a peach, and a small tangerine and about 1/4 cup of raw mixed nuts, actually maybe a bit less than 1/4 of a cup.
What I notice is that about an hour after I eat, I begin to feel kinda funny. Almost like I have a tightness in my chest, and a slight pressure and a wave of heat that kind of seems to go through my body. I liken the heat to a slight hot flash, and maybe that is all that is, because I am, after-all, 50, as of last month. But, I am more concerned with the overall feeling of pressure in my chest area. It's like when I eat, I'm feeling weaker. I don't know if this makes sense for anyone.
But, I never feel this way when I don't eat in the morning. Thoughts?
To be specific, it feels like a woozy kind of feeling, and a heavy kind of feeling and a tightness around my neck and I am concerned a little. Maybe I should speak to my doctor about it.
