I bought some wonderful local apples and made this crumble, for added flavour and nutrition I like to add extras so I added raisins with the apple as well as chia seeds as chia seeds absorb 10 their volume in water, so they make the fruit really nice and smooth. The crumble I made with 55g ground almonds 165g plain gluten free flour 110g organic butter and 50g unrefined sugar. I then sprinkled golden linseeds sesame seeds and flaked almonds on top and baked and will probably have to try some later...π
Thank you Zest and you are right autumn comfort food...π
Your crumble looks delicious Hidden , you are so good with stats i.e. Chia Seeds absorbing 10 their volume in water.
Love the ingredients.π

Thanks Alicia, since going gluten free I've become interested in some food stats as it's good to know that you can use ground chia seeds as a thickener for gravies/sauces fruit and make things even healthier. π

It is very good to know how certain foods can replace others in cooking and baking.
Chia Seeds are so good for you, I really must make some overnight Chia Seed Porridge.π
