Most common cause of hair loss is STRESS. However, if hair loss is excessive it can be caused by nutrient deficiency. Deficiency in vitamin D can cause hair loss. It is a good idea to get blood test done for vitamin D and also for calcium. Calcium absorption becomes poor when vitamin D is low.

Can I check if you're male or female?
If male, I think hair loss is determined by whether your mother's dad lost his hair, and what age he was when he lost it.
If you're female, I would go to your doctor, because hair loss is not typical for women.
In both sexes, hair loss can be exacerbated by high/low iron levels (you should test to determine where yours sit), thyroid disease, hormone imbalances, lack of B vitamins, and also by poor overall gut health. I think you need to see a doctor to rule out the more serious health causes (thyroid, iron levels), and go from there.
Have you been really stressed out? Sometimes, people have hair loss when they’re under severe stress. Please call your doctor and set up an appointment.😀👍
For me, I know when my VitD levels are deficient... my hair starts falling out. Supplements work quickly for me and the hairless stops. I had figured it out myself, however it was confirmed also in a blood test requested by the GP. I hope you find the solution for your situation.
My mum had hormonal issues and hair loss was one of the symptoms. When she treated her hormonal problems, the hair was back. She also always advices to take biotin supplements for hair strength (makes hair healthier but of course not a magic treatment for a hair loss)
