I don't think there would be a particular weight loss or health benefit in the amounts needed for a drink but it probably fills you up for a while. if people are avoiding putting sugar in drinks I'd be wary of starting to drink honey regularly , especially if you don't already have sugary drinks. If you are replacing something super sugary with a drink like this then fair enough.

There will be no particular weight loss benefits from taking these things. Turmeric can help with pain and green tea would be better than sugary drinks but honey needs to be treated with caution just as any sweetener. It's better for the body marginally than white sugar but most bees are fed on sugar anyway so....

Your list seems like one of these crank diets I've seen advertised were people drink a mixture of cayenne pepper, lemon juice, & maple syrup only, for three days. This doesn't strike me as being a healthy way to loose weight, & won't work for long term healthy body maintenance! Your list seems like one of these

I have drunk over a litre of weak green or white tea a day for over 15 years, & noticed absolutely no effect on my weight. It's still has health benefits, especially when taken with lemon.

Some spices are beneficial to the body for several different reasons, anti-inflammatory properties being one. No idea why those you mentioned would cause weight loss, & seems as cranky as the cayenne pepper quick fix. Perhaps try eating chilli which does increase the metabolism, as well as being a healthy fruit. I add it to as many meals as I can as I like spicy food, & it also warms me up in winter.

Raw unpasteurised honey has healthy properties, but be aware that all honey is six times sweeter & six times more calorific than sugar.

Try avoiding all processed food, & cooking everything you eat from scratch. Especially avoid anything with artificial chemicals such as sweeteners, processed fats such as margarine, & refined carbohydrates. Eating only natural foods containing good nutrients that your body can absorb is better than doing any kind of weird quick fix diet.

Finding what suits YOUR body is a good start, as we're all genetically different. What's good for one person may be bad for another.

For ME, it's a veggie clean food diet with high fat, low starch foods, & avoiding unfermented soya.. I eat a lot of salads in summer & soups in winter, nuts & seeds, lentils & beans, fruit, organic dairy & kefir. Limiting wheat & starchy carbs seems to help prevent weight gain. I also do restrictive eating for about five days a week, so it's unusual for me to eat before 11am or after 6pm. I now count nutrient intake rather than calories. A high protein breakfast as the main meal of the day, has also been good for me, with a light lunch & an evening snack.

I know people that are happy to restrict calories for two non-consecutive days a week, to loose weight, or that never combine carbohydrates & protein in the same meal, so they digest & absorb food more effectively.

Look up Chris Kresser's website for lots for free e-books & downloads about functional medicine & healthy eating. Mark Hyman's website also has good free food advice. They're both pro-paleo, but explain th science behind food, eating, digestion, & what & why some things are healthier, in plain speak.

As far as I have learnt over the years, the way to lose weight is to eat less overall, cut out all processed foods with hidden calories, incorporate lots of filling healthy vegetables and whole grains.move around more. Honey is just sugar. I'm sure turmeric and green tea contain many benefits Re antioxidants etc, but there is no magic ingredient which will make the weight fall off.

I've lost six stone using weight loss tea - half teaspoon each of cumin, coriander and fennel seeds boiled for five minutes then turn heat off and leave to steep for another five minutes - sieve out seeds and put in a thermos - sip all day - can't beat it

If you drink this mixture all day - in place of things like beer, wine, coca cola, fruit juices, sodas, milkshakes, coffee lattes, etc - I am certain you would lose weight.

Completely agree, I had the same problem. I'm not a big fan of regular trainings so I decided to try herbal medicine to lose some weight and it really gives great result. Besides I think herbal medicine is better than chemical medicine 'coz it doesn't have side effects.
