Well it's that time of year when someone is giving up something for their health or wealth, so as we have many members who want to lose weight we are going to offer weight loss badges to encourage anyone who would like to join in.
Badges from 2Kg to 10Kg and 5Lbs to 25Lbs are available so far but we are open to requests for others.
If any of you have suggestions for other badges then please say as this is your forum for all things healthy eating and we want your input.
Canβt wait to start earning my badges! Once I start losing ...π
That's a fantastic idea Jerry and that will certainly encourage those who are on a weight loss journey.
Maybe those going through the journey could share hints, tips and recipes that are working for them?
A good one.π

You are so right Jerry, it is the maintaining the healthy weights that's the hardest. A long term solution is the answer.π
I donβt want to swap my badge as the prediabetic one reminds me I can never go back to the way I ate before, but Iβm up for discussing weight loss with others, to support them and might also pick up more ideas for myself.
I yo-yo-ed up and down the same stone for years and the sustained weight loss only really clicked when I had a specific health goal (reversing prediabetes).
So last year I lost just over two stone instead of one, and apart from a couple of pounds over the festive period have kept it off this time.
Iβm now starting to chip away at my last bit of excess weight, I have 12lb to get to a healthy BMI and would like to lose a few more lbs below that to give me a little maintenance leeway, so about another stone to go. I expect this to take several months because I find it more sustainable to eat at a small calorie deficit so I still get all my necessary nutrients and have enough energy to keep active and cope with a busy workload.
Good luck to everyone starting, restarting, or continuing with their weight loss journey. ππ
