My life after my stroke

Hi everyone, my name is Ian and I suffered a stroke in March of this year. Having the loss of vision and balance really made me feel strange. I thought my working life was over because of the vision problems as I am an Engraver and Shoe Repairer by trade and I need the use of my eyes.

After a lot of time off work (4 months) and rest from the every day trudge I have recovered enough now to return to work for 3 days a week in my usual job.

Onward and upward from here and I even gave up smoking cold turkey from that very day. So YAY for me.

I eat better and I feel better now than I ever have.

Welcome dearest Ian,

I am so glad that you made it to the forums! You're one of the nicest men in the world, and I am lucky to have known you for as long as I have, and I am very thankful that you survived the stroke and that you are well, and strong, and happy. I would have been devastated had you lost any of your lovely personality! You tell that boss of yours that I said to be good to you! You're a treasure. ❀

This is an amazing place to be. Ever since joining these forums, after being diagnosed as Pre-diabetic, I have found great friendships and supportive people all across the board. I hope you enjoy the recipes that are shared here! I know I do!

So glad you're here honey! ❀

Congratulations and well done on quitting smoking, it's tough going cold turkey but I did it 2.5 years ago and haven't looked back since. I hope you're taking it easy at work too, remember to take time out for you 😊

Bravo for you, pushing through. That's what I'm trying to do. Every day is hard because of my anxiety and depression.

I've been trying to get a job, had a couple of offers, I tried them but where to much for physically, so I couldn't stay. I'm.going to ne 65, so I'm limited what I can do and at the same time companies discriminate against me. So it's rough for me. Wishing you Much success you deserve it
