Dark leafy greens vs lettuce such as iceberg

If you like the crunch of iceberg that's fine, but nutritionally it does not pack the same punch as your dark leafy greens. For anyone looking for a healthier lifestyle I would include some dark leafy greens in your daily meal plan. If you are buying from a supermarket then a bagful is the kind of quantity you should be aiming for. If you find the idea of eating a full bag of such a food then either add some to a smoothie or stir some at the last minute into a stew. Though of course spinach is the usual goto-item for adding to stews and soups. Add some lemon juice to ensure you get a full punch of the available calcium. Otherwise you are packing your body with lots of enzymes, omega-3s and so much more.
