Hi do you know if Tiger nuts are really good for you and if so, where can you get them? Thanks in advance.

I was watching a TV programme called 'Food Unwrapped: Diet Special' last week which featured Tiger nuts, and the fact that there was a trend in a country (forget which country) to drink Tiger nut milk - I've also forgotten the name of the drink, but it sounds like it was a trend that was gaining popularity.

Maybe have a look at the programme, as it could still be on 'catch-up' TV - they did talk about tiger nuts in some depth.

I don't think I was attending properly, as I can't actually remember the outcome or whether they were 'good' for you or not...!

Personally, I think most nuts are healthy, in moderation - I think tiger nuts are legumes - so similar to peanuts, and grown underground. I've never tried a 'tiger nut' - so I'd be interested to know what they taste like. "Nutty" I would presume.
