I would like to wish you the best in recuperating after your gall-bladder operation, and hope that the people at the gym induction were helpful. I had my gall-bladder removed a few years back, and I remember that I wasn't able to exercise for a while - so would like to suggest that you follow your medical specialist's advice on recuperating safely etc.
I hope that you have a great week, and that you find the links helpful, in your previous post.
I need to do something positive out of all this mess.
As soon as I can I will get myself in a better place than I am in at the moment.
It is easy to sit here hating the world and feeling sorry for yourself. I have just had a birthday, a kick up the backside and now want something good to come out of this.
I, like most people look for support. Doctors and liver specialist are so busy they don’t have the time to talk so this forum is brilliant, knowing people are all together in this and can share their thoughts
I do hope you find yourself in a better place soon. I was diagnosed 2 years ago at 49. I have 2 children now 9 and 13 and was initially devastated.
I decided that whilst I wasn’t in charge of PBC, I am in control of my life. So much so I started training and ran London Marathon in April at the grand age of 51.
It’s difficult to get your head round but I think there are so many people who do not know about conditions they have. We are fortunate to know what we have and we can focus on doing the right thing.
This is exactly what I needed. To know I am not the only one with this.
You are so young compared to me and with children too.
I had no symptoms. Had a 60s health check and wham. Never ever even heard of PBC.
You are right, keep positive. I am hoping I can my gym fitness test at the end of this month and start getting me on track. Not just physically but mentally too.
No problem. Happy to chat too. To be honest, as time has passed it’s not the first thing on my mind anymore. I get reminders every now and then but I am far too busy to dwell for long. My main ambition is to be as healthy as I can should I ever need a transplant. That and being a positive roll for my children. X
