Teas - Recommend any?

Hello my lovely people of Healthy Eating. I love you all. I feel at home here, more than anywhere in these forums. I just wanted to list some new teas I have been trying and ask if any of you indulge in hot teas for healing and health and can recommend any?

My newest teas that I have tried and why I love them:

Milk Thistle Tea - Buddha Brand - This is a liver detox tea that I absolutely love to drink in the morning at work, it makes me feel invigorated all over, and I get this warm tingly sensation up and down in my arms and legs that feels so great. I am highly sensitive to feelings in my body and this one really feels amazing to drink. Also it seems to suppress my appetite really well. Calms my nerves, and relaxes me.

Pau D'Arco - Buddha Brand - This tea is supposed to be an anti-cancer (colon especially), anti-candida, antimicrobial tea, good for diabetes, ulcers, stomach issues and more. I have just bought it and haven't tried it yet, but I am going to be having a cup tonight after work, has anyone here tried it? I have tried Pau D'Arco suppliment drops under my tongue in the past and they were great!

Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life - Yogi Brand - A super good tea to drink before bedtime. I love this tea. I don't get stomach cramps like I did with other slimming teas, basically this tea helps you to use the restroom easily first thing in the morning and you wake up feeling amazing! I think this tea is magical.

Honey Chai Turmeric Vitality - I'm still on the fence about this one. I drank this and thought it tasted like a gentle honey tea with a slight turmeric flavor, but to me barely noticeable. I didn't notice any special feelings in my body after drinking it like I did with the other teas, but I will definitely fishing the entire box and see how it goes. It was just a nice tea to sip, probably would be good with a little creamer in it, but I drink most of my herbal teas just clear.

I'm looking for healing teas that anyone has had good experiences with. Taking all kinds of suggestions though. <3

Hi my darlin’

I can’t testify to the healing qualities but I’m rather partial to ginger and lemon herbal tea and of course mint tea.

I agree, it really hits the spot.

I tried mango and strawberry herbal tea today, it was really nice but I suspect made just for the flavour rather than have healing properties.

I'm trying teas out now that are cleansing type teas, or medicinal herbal stuff. I'm loving them.

Good to know! Thank you for the info. I actually know someone struggling with high blood pressure! I'll have to try this out with them. Have some little shops here where I can get fresh dried hibiscus to make tea with so this works!

Elderberry and echinacea + Three ginger combo - Pukka teas brand

My brother knows a Chinese herbalist and he says to use a combo of echinacea and ginger as the echinacea is beneficial to the immune system and the ginger heats the body up and is good for coughs.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be the Pukka brand but I find Pukka teas one of the better brands as all the ingredients are organic and their Three ginger tea is a good one, I think.

My bro is a chiropodist and works around a lot of older people so is prone to catching bugs.

He drinks the tea combo every morning and has had no illnesses for a long time now. He believes it could be the tea working.

I try to drink the tea in the mornings now and I haven’t actually been unwell since earlier this year, I’m hoping that I don’t get any worse since I said that :).

I drink organic loose leaf tulsi ( holy basil ) every morning with a teaspoon of a 10 blend mushroom powder ( 4sigmatic brand )

Holy Basil is a wonderful adaptogen so helps strengthen and balance the body

When making food and drink choices for me it is about opportunity costs. Can I consume something positive for my body? Anything else is sub optimal.

So green tea is on a pedestal with so much research showing its benefits on the gut biome. However add a dash of milk to that and all those benefits are destroyed.

Above green tea are green matcha and also hibiscus.

If you don't have a chronic condition such differences probably don't seem to matter. Two or more chronic conditions and such decisions should be a higher priority.

Thank you for the comments. I am interested in healing teas and curious about the experiences of others who drink them.

I like a cup of Dr Stuart's Valerian Plus in the evening or if I am feeling a bit tense, I find it very calming for bed

I drink chamomile tea at night is relaxes me and puts me to sleep I also use peppermint ,ginger. green tea and coffee. One coffee in the morning for the antioxygenic properties black only otherwise you will lose the benefits just like tea then herb teas the rest of the day. Be careful of tumeric although it's very good I gather but it stains everything as well as your teeth. I went to the dentist and he said very hard to get rid of stains from the Tumeric even for them. Enjoy your cuppa one and all. Been interesting reading thankyou all.

My go to teas are basically peppermint and ginger & lemon. Peppermint can upset the stomach further if it's feeling delicate, but it is good for wind apparently. Lemon and ginger is generally quite soothing for anything else stomach related.

I'm not a fan of the bitter teas, like black or green. I feed my scoby a mix of black and rooibos teas to make kombucha though.
