Hi everyone, just joined to get some support shift 14lbs to try to improve my blood pressure. Do you recommend weighing yourself every day or just once per week?

Hi Sarah,

Welcome to the Healthy Eating forum, it's great that you're looking to lose 14 pounds to help improve your blood pressure, and I'd like to wish you success with that. I would also recommend having a look at the NHS weight loss forum (another forum here in Health unlocked) if you like the idea of a weigh-in with a group of like-minded people, and you can find that forum here:

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Regarding when to weigh, there is plenty of information available to argue both perspectives, and I would say that you need to find out what works best for you as an individual - I like to weigh daily, but I know plenty of people who prefer weekly.

Wishing you a great week.

Zest :-)

I don't recommend weighing too much - you'll just get paranoid! What I do recommend is a whole food plant based diet where you can eat to fulfilment at each and every meal and still reliably lose weight steadily.

Not what you're looking for?
