More tolerance and a lot of creativity of diet is needed with children. I know some children who adore their green smoothies daily, but in that drink they have fruit to help sweeten the drink.
Find some things that work, and if you think they are too sweet try another day with less sweetness or more dried/fresh fruit where possible.
But generally avocados for children should be a good thing. And well done for trying something new.
Btw Dr Greger has at least one video log saying he does not even mind people even having bacon bits - providing it gets them eating a huge salad. I paraphrase.
I'm not a dietician, and I do try to eat healthy, but as humans I think we were made to love sweet stuff! Fir instance, and please here me out....Have you ever tasted breast milk? (Don't judge me...I was curious about what I was feeding my child). It's sooooooo sweet, way sweeter than sugar....no wonder kids like candy so much! I think if you can organize food to have as much nutrition as possible and you get them to eat it by sprinkling a little of the sweet stuff, they'll be healthier in the end. That's my opinion. Sounds like you're doing an amazing job!
thanks ladies otherwise my youngest would never eat avocado, i can get away with it in a smoothie for my eldest but my little one wont even drink a smoothie
