Nice stash of choccies you have there...😊

So far, the three left lower corner remain the best, long with the C&L 80%.

I might need to double my 10g a day, just in case they go off by the end of April! ;)

The Geranium flavoured one sounds interesting, I like the look of the Doisy Dam ones too 🍫😊 And I agree you don't want them to go off...

I've tried 4 different Doisy & Dam's & pronounce them to be just ok, nothing amazing. The Montezuma geranium is fantastic, as I like geranium oil. The C&L is really creamy for the cocoa content, though the Madecasse is delicious & also ethical which makes it taste even better as I love lemurs. :)

I knew there was a reason I why I eat dark chocolate. ;)

Thank you for sharing this BadHare and your stash does look rather tempting I have to say.

Yummy :)

It certainly is, I love it.

Christmas Day was lovely as the grandchildren came to ours from around 10:30 until 18:30 and it was lovely seeing them, they were so good. Today, well the weather has been shocking, as it was yesterday, so we made the most of it and cleaned the house and I then decided the exercise bike and weights were calling me - I must be mad, on Boxing Day. ;)

Hope you had a good one Mel and here's to a wonderful New Year and the arrival of Spring - yay. :)

Glad you had a good day with your family, though not so sure about the cleaning! Great that you have enough energy to exercise, too! :)

Hope you're New Year is just as exciting!

Thank you and I am a bit of a clean freak so to speak, I hate the house being dirty i.e. bits of food on the floor which of course is what you get with young grandchildren - ha ha. ;)

I'm looking forward to the New Year, new job when I have successfully got one and of course Spring to look forward to.

Isn't that what dogs are for? ;)

Congratulations on getting a new job! I hope it's enjoyable! I love the saying about finding a job one loves, & never having to work a day!

Christmas aside, I quite like the winter, & prefer snow to sand. Wish I could go skiing again, bt will have to make do with flying dreams! :D

Mx

β€’ in reply toBadHare

Well yes they do have a reputation for picking up everything off the floor and the kitchen side if they are big enough. ;)

I haven't got a job yet, had one interview but am still applying for part-time jobs. I'm not worried as I know I will get one eventually and of course it will now get busier with the job market now that Christmas is over.

I don't like the Winter only because of the short days but I'm like you re sand, I'm not a beach person as I love hill walking and the Lake District is my favourite place, I love it and it's almost like our second home as that's where we go on holiday. I have to say though I do live by the sea and this is where I was brought up - I won't move as my family are nearby but if they ever moved I wouldn't hesitate to follow suit.

Let's dream and see where it takes us. :)

I've lost a few things to big or clever dogs, but never sticky children. :)

Sorry, I misread what you wrote, sorry! Good luck job hunting!

The Lake District is a lovely part of the world, & even looks pretty when it's drizzling! Hope you get to move your family there one day!

Oh yes, dogs are so clever and my favourite breed is the Border Collie, I absolutely love them. We can't have dogs as my hubby is allergic to them but to be honest I don't mind too much as it would cost a fair bit to put them in kennels when we go on holiday - we have a cat and that's enough.

Thank you and I'm looking forward to getting a part time job. :)

The Lake District is amazing, I absolutely love the place but think I have an affinity to the place as my father was from Durham, grandparents from Kendal and my cousin lives in Yorkshire.

My friends border collie used to round people up, according to who she liked. :)

Fingers crossed you get something you like!

There are lots of nice places oop'north, & you have some good places to visit! :D

Mx

β€’ in reply toBadHare

When we had our Collie when I was a child she used to round sheep up. ;)

I will get something, it's out there, just need to be patient.

There certainly are some nice places up north or (oop'north;), love the area.

Hope she was supposed to! :)

Good luck!

Hmm, no our naughty dog was not supposed to round up the sheep, the farmer actually shot at her so we definitely kept her on a lead after that. ;)

Thank you for your support re jobs.

Oh no! It's sad when the can't run about. I used to walk two very naughty dogs at night time, on the sand dunes near their home, to avoid them fighting. The German Shepherd was very protective of me & the Briand (a giant French sheep dog) joined in. I hate to think what they'd've done to a sheep!

My friends two chow chows once chased sheep on the saltmarshes. I was deeply ashamed, & they were caked in stinky mud. Neither showed any remorse! Have you seen a film called Dean Spanley? It's definitely one for dog lovers!

I have my fingers & toes crossed for you! :)

Mx

β€’ in reply toBadHare

It is but we learnt from that and never walked her near sheep again. ;)

The bigger dogs are definitely my favourite and German Shepherds are gorgeous dogs, not that I'm biased at all against all small dogs of course. ;)

Yuk, stinky mud, can't think of anything worse. When my cat comes in from outside I have a towel waiting for him and clean his paws as soon as he comes in.

Thank you, I will get a job, might take a while but will get there. :)

This is a great thread - I love dark nutty chocolate. :-) I have been sampling some over Christmas!!! :-) But as you know, I have 25g every day as well... :-)

BadHare profile image
BadHareβ€’ in reply toZest

My favourite nutty is G&B almond, though I don't buy it now as it's milk chocolate. They used to make an amazing dark cherry, but I've not seen it for years. These are suposed to last until April, so I'll only have double choc this week. I was bad & tried all the new ones out on one night, then again the next. Naughty, but nice! :) x
