Hi Blanche, welcome to our community and the forum is easy to use, the search index top right of the home page means that members can search for topics in the archives, you can check out pinned posts, related posts topics etc by just clicking it. And any questions then you just ask away.

We are a friendly community with a common interest in healthy eating.

Jerry 😊

Hi Blanche.

I avoid processed foods, especially artificial things such as sweeteners & margarine. Try to eat as many natural things as you can, which is easy of you cook from scratch. Try to get more of your protein from plant based sources such as lentils & pulses, or nuts (not peanuts) & seeds. Eat as many different types of fruit & vegetables as you can, especially those that are good prebiotics. Add a good source of probiotics to your daily food routine, so that you have good gut health, & you can absorb nutrients better. Eat a piece of good dark chocolate every day for a healthy treat. Drink plenty of water, & green tea with lemon. My usual rule is that if I eat healthy food at home, I can be a bit naughty & have something like a cake now & again when I'm out, though I'm being slightly relaxed this week & having ice-cream.
