Breakfast ideas

I struggle very much with this. Mainly bc from the moment I wake up I’m on GO mode.

Can anyone give any good breakfast ideas ?!??!!

I skip breakfast as I prefer restrictive eating times, so perhaps look at Zest & Jerry's recent breakfast posts. Something high in protein such as buckwheat or oat pancakes made with an egg, are high protein, filling, & a good start to the day. These are even better with added nuts, seeds, & berries.

If it's time that's the issue, there are a lot of things you can prepare in advance such as porridge, or make your own muesli with things you like. I posted links for 8 energy bars, last week, should you like cooking.

I eat a lot of nuts, seeds, & fruit which are both portable & easy to eat when I'm out, I always have a few tubs filled & ready to put in my bag. I usually add a medjool date or some dried mango, & a piece of >70% chocolate. Almonds are high in protein which makes them filling. I eat these in equal proportion to walnuts, & half brazils, Chia & linseeds are also high in protein & good oils, but a bit messy to eat, so I mix them with kefir or yogurt, & leave them to soak. There are lots of different sizes of click top BPA & phthalate free tubs available that don't leak. Whole fruit has the added benefit of containing fibre which is filling, over fruit juice, It's also going to have more vitamin C as it's not been processed.

You say you skip breakfast? I’ve never been a. Breakfast person and struggle with eating it immensely! Do you still lose weight when skipping it?

I stick to restrictive eating times, unless there’s a reason I can’t. It’s not just skipping breakfast. I've posted about the health benefits several times, which are more than weight loss. I also avoid processed foods & meat, & have a vegetarian whole food diet high in pre & probiotics. Prior to shifting meal times, I ate fruit or a high protein breakfast.

Hi Natles, really you have to look at your favourite foods and then how to include them in the morning, you can make porridge the day before and just reheat it, you can have fruit and yoghurt, eggs and toast etc.

A really good way of waking up your digestive system is to have a cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice with a little honey, And how long does it take to cut a lemon in half squeeze it add hot water and honey?

My favourite breakfast is poached eggs on toast with grilled tomatoes and I often have a small cup of honey and lemon whilst making it...🐝

The same question was asked by me to many of my friends and got may ideas too. The thing is, we cant only concentrate on easy or less time consuming recipes for the breakfast, need to think about health and diet too.

The recipe i make every alternative day is sprout salad, can be prepared just by soaked mung beans(sprouted) mixed with finely chopped onion, tomato, green chilly,salt,lemon juice. Can also add Carrot, Cucumber, Coriander leaves for more tasty and healthy breakfast.

However, I know its annoying some tired day to prepare by our own. But avoid skipping the breakfast as much as possible.

back in my working days i could not leave the house without frist having a big mug of tea. as for eating i stop at a near by workmans cafe clos to my work for a full english breakfast and order 2 or 3 bacon rolls for my 10 clock tea break.

most of my working life i was a self employed builder and worked all over london.

there where times though when i would make lots of sandwhichs before i went to bed, warp them in tin foil and keep them in the fridge for the night.

smoked salom with cream cheese or eggs mayonais was my favorit.

my day would normally start 6am unless there was a reason to get up earlyer. and most days i didnt get back home untill 8pm.
