Hi Rignold

Your breakfast looks tasty! Are those called 'Roll-Mops' or is it Herring, or something else? I know it's a type of fish.

Zest :-)

Yes, rollmops, which are pickled herring. Good protein rich start to the day. Although I inhaled deeply over the peanut butter and yearned for it.

I used to love those until I saw some health warning. Also it wasn't as nutritious as I previously anticipated. It's an interesting breakfast, but it would be interesting to see how you are sustaining yourself, what else you are eating all day and how much. Believe me, my diet is also quite alternative. My only concern for these alternative diets with LC is potentially leading to muscle wasting, not meaning to offend, of course.

Lol. Thank you for your concern, @anothermember, muscle wastage is really the last of my problems though.

Hi,

How lucky. No, it was a sneaky question as to the secret of not getting muscle wastage on LC diet. ;)

I like most fish but have to admit something about roll mops has never appealed to me. But I do love ( and eat) peanut butter ( a low sugar crunchy brand ) but I spread it on celery or apple slices , sometimes an oatcake..

We were at least raised not to think Nutella was breakfast food... Although peanut butter is a pretty good source of protein, so don't completely deny yourself! I know a couple of guys who add it to porridge after a pre-breakfast gym visit.

That is not actually Nutella. It is homemade hazelnut spread. Similar but no palm oil or sugar etc
