Hi fattymalonex6
Try and take home cooked foods. Avoid packaged stuff
Don't use too much butter. Limit alcohol. Personally, I walk everywhere and this is good exercise and works for me.
fattymalonex6 , don't be discouraged, you can make some changes. Start by eating clean, healthy and nourishing meals, one meal at a time, one day at a time. If possible reduce your carb and sugar intake and this can be easy if you count your daily calorie intake. Wishing you all the best!.
Hi there,
Welcome to the Healthy Eating forum. I hope you're feeling a bit better since you posted earlier today - as I can see you were feeling totally gutted, and that's a hard feeling to endure.
Have you seen the Healthy eating pages from NHS Choices (which this forum is linked to):
nhs.uk/livewell/healthy-eat...
The NHS weight loss plan is very good, and there is another forum called 'NHS weight loss" forum where they do weigh-ins and other motivating Challenges to help everyone keep on track with any weight-loss goals they set themselves.
I hope you might find something that will be helpful to you - and I'd like to wish you the best.
Hope to see you around in this forum as well, as we are a friendly group, and as you can see from the replies you've already had, there's plenty of supportive people around.

Portion control is my downfall! I always seem to overload my plate and eat the lot. I am not overweight but would like to lose about 6lbs. Just recently finished 6 months of chemotherapy and I think that has not helped much. My plate is overloaded because I try and eat a good variety of veg. Buy the time I have dished up carrots, sweet potato, roast tomato, broccoli and whatever the protein element is, overload has occurred! Lovely though!
