Hi, I started slimming world last year and lost 1stone 2lb but maintained the same weight for the past 3 months and couldn't get past it. I got bored so I quit it 2 weeks ago, thinking going back to weight watchers, has anyone got any better suggestions?

Hi Debgs07, Welcome to the forum. An administrator will be along shortly to guide you around the site.

My advice to you is to follow the NHS 12 week plan which is free and be active on the forum where you will find lots of help, tips, advice and support. Like you I have jumped from SW, SS, WW and even tried the Cambridge diet. They are ok in the short term but not sustainable. This plan is all about healthy choices and moving more. I lost 7 lbs in two weeks now on week 3 and never felt better at 60yrs. There are great success stories on here to keep you motivated and help foe when we stumble on our journey. Give it a go and you'll not regret it ££s kept in your pocket and pounds of the body, win win. Good luck.😊😊

Hi and welcome to the group, debgs07 . Congratulations on the great start to the weight loss! Have been counting carbs? This is a great way to control the weight loss issues and blood sugars. Have you talked with your doctor about carb counting?

I'm not a big carb eater anyway and I've not been counting since joining sw but I'm going to start again

Don't know your age and weight but unless you reduce carb intake substantially you can't reduce your weight howsoever straneous exercise you do. People have lost ton being on keto diet. Carbs 20-30 g per day. Lots of good fats and protein 0.8g/ kg / day.

Well done on your weight loss so far, that is great. I have lost just under two and a half stone since January and all I do is eat healthy and keep a food diary. I weigh myself and record it in the back of my food diary, I also record how my day was, how I felt, portions of fruit and veg and I measure myself every couple of months and if I feel disappointed by not losing weight I measure myself and get a wee boost to see how many inches I have lost. If I have a stressful day and I crave chocolate I either buy myself one single treat but more often than not I give myself a good talking to, asking myself why I want to ruin my weight loss. I actually had a bit cake last week and after months of not having sugar I can honestly say that I didn't enjoy it and I ended up getting a sore head with the sugar hit. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

One stone = 14 lbs

No problem! It's the standard British measurement of weight, we also use kilograms but I don't like them, I know where I am with Stones and Pounds!!

I didn't mention weight loss...

One stone is 14 pounds whether or not you want to lose weight or not.
