I swim. It's got me a long way. I think it's got me stronger and i can do more. Also I find it easier to push myself without risking getting injured (easier than trying to do zumba! I;m also a much better swimmer! I joined an adult class at the local sports centre. It's fun.

I'd like to add to that . Although exercise alone won't make you loose weight it's a great contributor to toning and increasing muscle and muscle burns fat faster. It also promotes a sense of well-being and confidence which contributes to better eating habits.

I don't think one without the other is any good.

Hi Bonnie. I'm not a strong swimmer so didn't find it any good for Me BUT I did try water aerobics and I was so happily surprised to discover that 6 weeks later, I actually had a waist. I found it quite strenuous but in a good way feeling really good after. Also WA is extremely easy on the joints and I didn't feel so much pain from exercising in water as the pressure of the water really helps......I would certainly recommend this kind of exercising.

At most centres there are also saunas.....another great reason to do it.

Good luck and have a long happy marriage.

Flossie xx

I think swimming is a good all round exercise with many benefits.Worth a try but don't do too much at first.

Hi, This may help you reduce 5 pounds in just seven days

Drink Mainly Water- It has zero calories and carbs and little to no sodium, making it the perfect slim-down drink.

Do Cardio 30 Minutes a Day- Any workout that gets your heart rate up will burn calories

Sleep 30 Minutes More a Night- That extra half an hour, whether you sleep 5 hours or 8, can refresh you enough that you will make better food choices.

Eat Salmon for Lunch

Play badminton twice a week

I have only tried 1-3 steps, but I am determined to follow this steps, to lose weight.

But The "I feel so Fat" way of thinking, you got to let go of that, you got to first accept and love your body shape.

I swim because it's the best exercise for my M.E it doesn't cause me so much pain, However it doesn't seem to help me loose weight. Maybe due to muscle gain, not that I notice (I have a flabby belly on my flabby belly!) Also swimming makes me so hungry I make bad food choices.

There's no other workout burns calories, boosts metabolism, and firms every muscle in your body (without putting stress on your joints) better than a swimming workout!
