I like this educative forum very much, and firstly I had like to know the specific type of food an ulcer patient must not eat.

Our surgeon friend who frequently had to operate on ulcer patients said that contrary to frequent advice given by doctors, he recommended that patients got on to proper wholemeal bread because it was the bran in the bread that was so beneficial at mopping up any toxins. He condemned supermarket wholemeal and said that it was a travesty of the real thing. He also strongly recommended other whole foods and a good vegetable content in the diet.
Try making your own bread by using the recipe that I use to make all of our bread: healthscams.org.uk/bake-you...
I hope that will help you.
Cheap food comes at a price. In the case of Supermarket bread it is enzymes and preservatives resulting in possible gluten intolerance and stomach ailments. You will not see enzymes on the list of ingredients because in the UK they do not have to be declared. If you have an ulcer would you trust supermarket bread when you know how it is made and what chemicals are put into it?
Have a read of this article to give you some further background reading allotment-garden.org/recipe... and Google the Chorleywood Process for bread.
How right you are PhilFreeToAsk. The arrival of the Choley Wood process brought about the death of real bread. It is refreshing to hear someone like you saying what my wife and I believe to be right. Thank goodness for our surgeon friend whom we met in 1981; we have him to thank for our good health today. We are 81 and 86 respectively and take no regular medication. Stay with it.
